You do most of your work in Claude and open ChatGPT for the rest. That means two windows, copying answers between them, and no second opinion unless you go and ask for one. The Astra Pane puts GPT-6 Astra inside Claude Code. Claude hands it a job and keeps working, and you watch Astra's progress in a pane above your chat box.
How it works
You ask Claude. Claude hands the job to Astra in the background. The pane shows Astra working. Claude checks the result before anything ships.
The loop underneath is our Claude Astra Loop. It's built into the pane, so there's nothing extra to install.
Reading the pane
- 1
The run, its type and its status, with the time it took
- 2
Where Claude and Astra disagree, and whether both sides confirmed the summary
- 3
Both answers, side by side
What this means for you
Debate a decision
Ask one question. Claude and Astra answer it separately, without seeing each other's answer. The pane puts their disagreements on top and both full answers underneath. Claude writes the summary and Astra checks it's fair to its side. If Astra doesn't sign off, the pane tells you.
A real run took 46 seconds. The question: should a $3k/month agency service raise its price to $5k?
| What they split on | Claude | Astra |
|---|---|---|
| Scope during the test | Add value alongside the higher price | Keep scope fixed so you're testing price alone |
| How to judge it | Hold if close rate stays above 25–30% | Judge by profit per opportunity |
| Existing clients | Keep them at $3k for 3–6 months, or offer $3k and $5k tiers | Move them up at their next renewal |
Both said yes: test $5k on new clients first, with proof of results behind a 67% jump.
Check Claude's work
Claude wrote a billing calculator that works out a client's credit when they change plan mid-month. Its own tests passed, plus over 94,000 extra cases.
Astra reviewed it in 1 minute 32 seconds and found 3 real problems. The worst was a rounding error. A $1,500.15 plan used for 1 day of 30 should credit $50.01, and the code credited $50.00. Claude had missed it.
In the same test, Claude caught an issue Astra missed. That's the point of having both.
Make what Claude can't
Claude can't generate images. Astra can. Claude writes the post, hands Astra the hook, and a 1200×1200 visual comes back in about 1 to 2 minutes.

Background runs
Hand Astra a job and keep working with Claude. The result arrives as its own message when it's done.
Animated clips
Astra renders short motion clips with code: animated text, counters, shapes. Needs ffmpeg, which the guide installs.
Setup check
Type /astra doctor. It checks 8 things and tells you in plain words what's missing and how to fix it.
Set it up
- 1
Download the kit and open INSTALL.md inside it.
- 2
Follow the guide. You copy and paste each command, and it tells you what you should see after every step.
- 3
Type
/astra doctor. When everything works, you'll see "Astra doctor: 8 of 8 ready".
